Scott (Producer & Recording Engineer)

Over 35 years ago, Scott Ansell was learning how to be a recording engineer at the same time Gabrielle and I were learning how to make and produce music. So, we “grew up” together in the recording studio and music business. His wonderful engineering and production talents are at the core of everything that Raven Recording has ever done.

Scott’s engineering and production career spans over thirty years in which he has recorded and mixed over 100 albums, 30 plus film scores and many commercials for television and radio. He has worked on Grammy Award winning albums, produced songs that have appeared on the soundtracks of major Hollywood movies and collaborated with some of the top musicians, artists, engineers and producers in the industry.

Some of the highlights from Scott’s album work include spending almost a year recording Bruce Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa for her "23rd St. Lullaby" album, working on Shawn Colvin's Grammy Award winning album "A Few Small Repairs", and producing two Bret Reilly songs that appeared on the "Dumb and Dumber" and "There's Something About Mary" movie soundtracks. Some of the other artists Scott has had the pleasure of working with include Nile Rodgers, Duran Duran, The Thompson Twins, Al Jarreau, Grace Jones, Sheena Easton, Loudon Wainwright, Roseanne Cash, Laurie Anderson, Allen Ginsburg (with Paul McCartney), Harry Belafonte, Michael Bolton, Grandmaster Flash, Al Dimeola, Phillip Glass, John Zorn, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Sara Carlson and Omar Hakim.

No need to list his Raven credits. He’s in everything!
